Morning all!! Been piddling around here trying to sweep up a little guess been breathing in to much dust so hooked up oxygen for a while to get stats up. Everytime I do this I sit here thinking of all the things I want to jump up and do then when I take it off am just ready to sit. One thing for sure it will not do itself so don't hve to worry bt that.
So nice to have door and window open today with fresh air going thru. The Dust prevention seems to be working.

Rather cloudy and know there are storm watches which we may be included in running to north east. May just grab the novel and put feet up.

I am always saying I don't need any suggestins from Paw abt what to do around here but I think he also does not want my suggestions. We work from different set of priorities at what shuld be done first.

Still checking airfare . Looks like only thing we can do is stay over a day longer . Have got to talk that over with Brenda.

good morning Maw, today the weather is wonderful, and it is warm :lol
sun shining, birds singing... the new outside speakers are playing my clasical music.. as a low range, so as not to annoy our neighbors. Although that can change if those B dogs do not stop barking...

The new pool privacy screen came today, and they did a great job of it. Another job for Einstein :grin

I was supposed to get up and bake this morning, but here it is, after 11, and I have only washed clothes, did a bathroom, defogged mirrors, tidied up some cupboards, and not got my hands in flour yet :grin I spent some time enjoying that sunshine and the music. and my cuppa....
Now I really have to get to work.
everyone take care, and stop to smell those roses.....

Mornin', or afternoon, Maw & Red. Just finishing my lunch here at work. And counting down the minutes as today is my Friday and I get four luxurious days off and I can't wait!! Yippee!!

Happy Thursday!!

Thanks, I hope to, starting tonight with a nice grilled steak, baked potato and sangria. Yum!

Corky !! lucky you. we are so busy at work I might get sunday off if I am lucky. I don`t mind all that extra money
will go into my cruise fund../b]

that sangria sounds good. do you make it, or buy it and doctor it up?

I finally got my act together and made an apple pie. I make them with only thinly sliced apples and spices.. no fillers.
I also made and baked two pie shells. it sure cuts down when you have company if all you need to do is defrost a crust and fill it :grin

Einstein is getting the grass cutting out the way , so that is another chore that will not need to be done this weekend.
I tend to do things backward..
I was brought up when wash day was Monday. That was when the sheets were changed. well. I always hated that you went into the weekend with the tail end of the live of the sheets :lol so I change mine out on either Thursday or Friday.
Ditto grass cutting. everyone seems to cut grass on the weekend. the air is filled with the sound, plus it means that instead of relaxing, you are out there working. So these days Einstein has seen the wisdom of taking one weekday evening and getting this chore done. :grin

I think I have a handle on menus for the next 10 days.. But for some reason, my "get up and go" has gone..
Usually by this time I have a;ready spent at least a week planning menus and buying supplies, baking all that I can, and pre baking where possible.
But not this time.. This time I am dragging.. but I am sure it will all come together in the end.

Oops.. I see Einstein trimming trees.. time to hold that ladder :lol

Mornin' Red! You all sure sound busy...we too agree with trying to get the weekend chores done in the afternoons on Thurs - Fri, if weather permits. Since the days are longer, might as well, then we can play a bit on the weekends. :)

Sangria - I did make it last year, using my girlfriends recipe, and it is tasty but time consuming and messy. So now what I do is take a glass and put a little bit of ice in it, then fill it 1/2 way with red wine, then add juices like lemonade, which is what I normally put in it. If I am feeling extra adventurous or in a party mood - I put in a splash or two of lemonade, limeade, and orange juice. It is tasty and goes down smoothly on a hot day.

Also, vodka and limeade is a nice drink. Not as tart as the lemonade and a bit easier on the stomach, so you can drink more. Ha!

Send one of those Vodka & limeade's my way Corky. :grin The LONG 3 day weekend is soon to be here and that IS good news. :dance Been busy this week but I think I finally have the laptop running in top fashion after de-installing ALL the garbage they put on them. =shrug The wireless connection is also up to snuff and working the way its suppose to which is Gr8 news. :grin

The privacy screening will wait until our Fla. visitors have departed. Hopefully we will get some warm temps like the weatherman has promised to warm up the pool a few degrees. :dance EVERYONE have a Gr8 weekend and enjoy!!! :thumb

I will be outside at the pool with drink in hand and laptop nearby so I will check in on U all if time allows. :dance

.

Good friday afternoon fellow Jewels..

well, the bread is baked, all except the raisin bread, and that is on now.
the little dog has been bathed.. in your shower Einstein :grin and she is still in there on a pile of doggy towels, as that is the warmest and draft free places for her right now.
I wanted to pop in and say "hi" before heading out to trim the leaves from the spent bulbs. I know that you are supposed to allow the leaves to totally yellow, as they feed the bulb. But I can only take the scraggle so long.. :lol

maw, what did you think about that train to Miami ? As I told Einstein, it is mostly night traveling, so we can sleep. plus, he can play on the laptop, and I can read. It is also a good price when compared to airline tickets. And cheaper than renting and driving a car. So this may just be the way we go.

We did get some damage the other night from the storm. Einstein saw it yesterday evening, when he was trimming the tree that grows out over the pool.
The bigest and most beautiful tree that stands back by the shed.. he said it looked "funny" it had a lean to it.
He investigated and one of the large branches was hanging by a thread. So he had to get the ladder and cut it off. The tree was so full, you could not see through it. Now we are looking at the branches in the middle :(

\ here are a few photos.
you can see the broken branch leaning to the right. and see that ladder? Einstein is somewhere up there.

Einstein up the ladder trying to guide it down after sawing through it.

it is such a shame. The poor birds sounded confused as they flew there to roost that night.
One good thing.. was that we could see no nests in that branch. So no lost birds.

Red - that is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. Poor, poor tree. :(

Thank goodness E found it though and that it didn't fall on someone during a storm, or, just give away and fall on someone. That would not have been pretty.

I'm not Maw - but the train ride sounds great to me!! :)

E - Vodka and limeade is on the way. Enjoy!!! :)o
