Hello all!! We have airplane tickets and after a lot of trying at the price we thught reasonable--got a reminder from Hot Deals this morning saying they were 214 each when I tried to book they suddenly were $523 . Brenda and I have both spent the morning chasing the fare and finally booked for $207 plus fees but still less than $300. We will get into Miami aty abt 6 in the evening-got a flight out at 2:40 in afternoon and it is direct we are coming by way of Atlanta. Now to find a hotel(cheap preferably)

Beautiful day here looking to get out in sun for a while. Don't work too hard E and Red. any one looking for work come on by here could use a raker, a tosser and a mopper and waxer. In fact even a duster. Guess I have put off things long enough gotta get up and move.----Have a good day.

Happy Saturday to all,
And I am working too hard. My fridge has had a little smell for several days, and I can't find anything too old. So I'm taking everything out and scrubbing. Not too much fun for a beautiful day.
I've been chasing airfare also. I don't know if I should keep waiting to see if it gets better. Or it might get worse. The cheapest I can find from Salt Lake is around $500. And that is with crappy times and changes. I think I'll give it another month and see. I just feel so much better when I have things handled and don't have to worry.
As for the hotel, I'm just going to Hotwire, etc. and take the cheapest airport place. We get in to late to worry if it will be nice.
Sounds like you got a good deal Maw!
Have a great day all.

This is suppose to be a long weekend for me, because monday is the Queens birthday.
unfortunely I have to work Saturday and Sunday, Monday I have off but its suppose to rain all day.
I look at it this way, One day closer to cruising, Hope you all have a great day!!!!

well.. it is not morning :lol but here I am.

Maw and jewels.. We entertained Fla Jack and Honey on Thursday, they were on their way to visit Family up North.
So as usual.. Honey and I stayed up until the wee small hours talking.
They left on Friday morning, but I already had my marching orders from Einstein.
Our luggage needs replacing, and he had seen that a store near us was having a very good sale th on Friday and Saturday, so he asked if I would go over and check it out. he had already been online and picked out what he was interested in.. down to the colour :lol
So after Honey and jack left, I set off for the big city.
I took that small luggage scale with me, as these days, weight is MOST important. Once in the store, I got out the phone and contacted Einstein to check a few things. I am talking on the phone while trying to weigh luggage. So funny. One lady was most interested, and was going along with me as I said weights :lol
I finally found the 25 inch suitcases Einstein had checked out. He also wanted a 28 or 29 inch, but they did not have one in that colour. But they did have one in a kinda bright pink. So as these suitcases were flying out the door, I bought all three.
Then I loaded up the car and drove home. Now I was able to weigh the 25 inch cases, but the 29 inch one was very tall, so with my height restrictions, I was not able to propperly weigh that one.
Einstein came home and was not thrilled with the pink one, but he did like the other two.
Then he weighed the 29 inch one and found it was 19 lbs! heck, that leaves you 31 lbs to pack.
We decided to make the rounds that evening of the two TJ Maxx stores near us, so off we went.
We went into the first one and found a 29 inch in the same colour as the ones he liked, and it weighed 12 lbs. so we figured we would bring it home for a test pack. I am going to pack as if for a cruise and then see how much it weighs. :lol
when we were ready to leave the store, the heavens had opened up, and it was pouring down. Fortunately they had a large plastic bag for the suitcase, and I took a smaller one to cover me :grin. We ran for the car.
So ended Friday.
Today we were up early and Einstein played with his new wireless router, and then started part two of the window scraping and painting. This time in the front of the house.
As there was nothing I could do to help, I took the large pink suitcase back to the store. Then I spent the rest of the day sewing curtains.
I ended at around 6pm, and Einstein quite his job around 7.30.
since then, I swam a few times, and now Einstein is watching a hockey match, and I am typing to keep from going brain dead :grin
heck.. now it is ten at night, and I am beat.. is it bedtime yet??
