Marclaw, have you sailed from the port of Los Angeles before ? If so, did you do a pre or post cruise stay. Any information or hotel recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

We sailed out of San Pedro back in 94. We went in the day before but stayed at a hotel near the airport. The next morning we took a cab to the port. I have no ideas for a hotel this time. My cousin's daughter lives in LA and I am going to get a hotel recommendation out of her when I see her this spring.

We're Gerry and Lynne. We'll be going. 2nd cruise for us to Hawaii. Awfully early yet but heard LA Hilton near the airport is a good place to stay. Have many hotel web sites to look into yet.

Actually we rented cars at all ports except Hilo. Best decision we ever made. Pre cruise stayed in Waikiki and also rented car there. Only tour we took was during our second day in Lahaina when we went on a snorkel catamaran sail at Kaanapali Beach, Maui. This was in April 2002. Company was called Gemini Charters. Consider renting cars. Only about $35. - $40/day. Highways same as on mainland.
