Hi!
We too will be on this sailing - my husband, I, and 2 daughters 9 and 12. Can't wait. Have you cruised on Carnival before? Any helpful tips?
4 weeks to go!

This is our 3rd CCL cruise! First one the Sensation, 2nd one Triumph and this one next. We're going to Busch Gardens the day prior and staying in Tampa Friday and Saturday night precruise. It will be our 1st cruise for our daughter and she is so excited. I am looking forward to it and I have heard great things about Camp Carnival for the kids. One of your daughters will be in the same group as our daughter (9-11).
Maybe they can meet up and hang out together.

I'm in Jacksonville FL and we'll be driving to Tampa. Are you flying down or driving?
We booked a guarantee 6A (oceanview) cabin and so hoping to be upgraded but we won't know for awhile.

Now just counting down and waiting for the cruise docs!

Hi Helen,
Glad to hear this is your third Carnival cruise - they must be good if you keep coming back. We have cruised twice before- the first time on Celebrity and the second on Norwegian. This is our first Carnival. I can't speak for Carnival but I can let you know that my kids have had a wonderful time on both of our previous cruises. I'm sure your daughter will love it! We too will be going to Busch Gardens before the cruise- probably on Friday.

We are driving down from Canada so have a bit farther to go than you. We are leaving home on the Tuesday and hope to arrive on the Gulf beaches on Thursday. We too have booked a 6A cabin. Do they upgrade regularly? We are not hoping for this too much as it has never happened on any of our previous cruises. I'll let you know when we get our documents if there were any surprises.

We are counting the days as the weather here is awful! Can't wait for some sun and fun!

I hope the girls will hook up at kids club. We have met some wonderful people on cruises and don't expect this one to be any different!

See you soon.....

Wow...driving from Canada is along ways! I drove from here (jacksonville FL) to Jamestown NY a few years back and it was a long drive! I used to live in Ny state and visit Niagra Falls alot and it is bueatiful there.

My daughter's name is Jessica so if your daughter asks around at Camp Carnival for her they should find each other. My Jessica is very outgoing so I'm sure she'll make loads of friends :) She does have a tendency to talk ALOT...but that's my fault too :)

We got our docs last week in the mail and are very excited now. Can't believe it's almost here! Then it will probably go SO fast.....and then I'll have to think about another cruise again :) Oh I'm so addicted.

Hope to be upgraded also...we booked a GTY 6A this time (last 2 cruises we picked specific cabins) and our luggage tags in with the docs state TBA cabin so we won't know til we drop our luggage off at the porters. The suspense is killing us but we'll survive. I just know as long as we have the 6A we'll be happy. Last 2 cruises we did inside cabins and it was really dark. This time with a GTY window cabin we'll have some light in our cabin.

Hopefully we can meet up and do something...
We'll be doing the stingray tour with Nativeways in Grand Caymen
and the Cave tubing in Belize with Xstream

Not sure about cozumel as the dolphin encounter we did book was too close to the time the ship leaves port so we didn't want to chance it. We'll probably do a jeep tour or just take a taxi to Chankannab Park for the day and snorkel/swim.

In costa maya I want to take Jessica to a Mayan Ruins tour. I want her to at least see something she'll probably never see again. We saw Tulum in 1999 and it was awesome!

Talk to you soon....
