to decorate the doors we adopt an old motto.. "First do not harm"

You do NOT want to deface the ships doors.

We use this stuff that looks like "Silly Putty".. That you can peel right off a door with nothing left.
Also the 3-M company makes a lot of tapes that can also be removed cleanly from a surface.

"3M™ Command™ Products, 3M™ Wall Mounting Tabs, Scotch® Clear Removable Mounting Squares, Scotch® Fabric Cubicle Grips and Scotch® Wallsaver™ Removable Poster Tape."

We do not judge doors on the first sea day, as we figure this is the day that you will decorate them if you did not on the evening of departure. But we will do it soon after. We find that if we wait too long, then either someone has managed to damage their door, or someone has taken something from it, or you are gradually putting it all away.

On one cruise there was a "bribe" door.. it was so funny, and they won. BUT we said this was a 'one off" and no bribe doors would win again. :grin

I can see a hall full of bribed doors.. and drunk judges :grin

I take it that the spray paint, pop-rivet and hot-glue guns are not allowed then?

Bummer. I had such great plans .......

You can always bring some GLUE GONE, it works really well.
Red did you ever find out if the doors are metal or wood?

I am guessing they will be metal...most of the newer ship's are and it is safer in case of fire.
