When I was at my niece's house on Easter Sunday.....her house is on a private road. We still have a lot of them around here too.

Very Nice. I grew up in a house over 150 years old. It was a big old thing on a dirt road which we owned, and it was so much fun as a kid. My most favorite Aunt and Uncle lived about 1/4 mile behind us when they first married in a little cottage on the lake. Wow such wonderful memories.

After my divorce I rented a little cottage on a dirt road for a while. It was great except when it snowed. I had a mustang convertible and many a night I had to ditch the car somewhere along the way and wait for a plow to come along to get me out. It was still great being removed from the rest of the world just a little.

Yep, I live on a dirt road....it's a "Natural Beauty Road" and is considered a landmark that can never be paved....

Good and bad.
