When he was there the first time, the doctor noticed a bite on his back. I told him I had felt a lump, and we thought that's what this was. He cleaned it and told me to keep antibiotic salve on it. That healed perfectly, but....
it seems like that was not the lump I had felt, there is one a little further down towards his tail that seems to be getting bigger. I think it is infected from another bite. I know he had been in at least one cat fight. It is hard to find, I think that is why I have not noticed again until the other day. It looks like it might hurt a little, he doesn't cry, but he doesn't want me to touch it.
It is always something, isn't it? I just hope they don't want to keep him. I had a kitten one time, who was attacked by my older cat, and his whole back became infected. (I gave away the older cat!) They had to put Sonny out to clean it. He was about a month older than Simon at the time.
He is just getting used to us, I would hate for him to have to spend a night away.
