I have brought my own iron with no problem. I'm very careful to unplug it when done. I did try to use the iron in their laundry room on mylast cruise, and it was spitting water all over,........thank goodness I tested it first! I went bafk to the room and used my own. I will continue to bring mine!JoAnn
