I've lost 42 lbs - thank you, South Beach diet! We were on the Explorer last month and I, too was concerned about weight gain. I told our Assistant Waiter not to offer me bread unless I specifically asked for it. (which I did on two occasions). I ate dessert every single night. I drank moderately and had snacks almost every day. I did not excercise other than taking stairs when I felt like it, and walking around the ship to "people watch."End of story - I gained 3 lbs, which I quickly dropped the next week by returning to the diet. I've since lost another 3 lbs.Moral of story - have fun, don't go crazy, eat the foodm, you paid for it. Contrary to popular belief, cruising is NOT hazardous to your health!
