Apparently some do gain weight on cruises, but I never have. And believe me, my motabolism is terrible! I dont use the fitness equipment on the ship, Im on vacation for heavens sake! However, we do A LOT while in port. We usually choose tours that involve walking and/or swimming. Plus theres always shopping to do before returning to the ship. So we do get plenty of exercise. Even on the sea days, we spend a great deal of it walking around the ship (and yes, you tend to take the stairs when waiting for the elevator takes longer than to just walk a flight or two). Dont worry too much about it, you will do just fine! Enjoy and congrats!
