Going on our first cruise on the Monarch in July, and thinking of more questions to ask! How many rooms will our steward be taking care of at one time, per cruise?
Last cruise on the Adventure I asked my cabin steward and he had 12 cabins to maintain. Sometimes they have less, just depends on how many employees they have to move around.
We sailed on Celebrity's Zenith in January and our cabin steward had 17 cabins to take care of. He had a helper though and did the best job of any cabin steward we have ever had in 13 cruises.

Generally 8 to 12 depending on the ship, deck and location on said decks.
The veteran stewards don't like to do suites and balconies because they have less cabins to take care of so they get less in tips.
