How is Your Packing Going Jewelers?

Our two 26" cases are packed and zipped! We each have a roll-aboard that we need to pack and the garment bag....we plan on doing those on Monday.

We ran out to WalMart....three grandbabies and my great nephew are celebrating their birthdays while we are gone so I had to pick up cards and two more gifts...just finished wrapping those. I picked up two paperbacks, a fresh sun block stick, a big bag of dog food to take to DD for the boys. But we forgot to stop at Borders to get Leatherneck's book....he likes WEB Griffin and Wally didn't have it. He will run back to town tomorrow and pick it up and get his car washed while I am out getting my nails and toes beautified.

So, how are you coming along with the getting ready?

I'm done. Sunflower has stuff spread all over the guest room. Nothing in her suitcase! Oh well, I be dressed nice .... she'll be naked!

As for us.
I did stained glass for three days, E worked this weekend, we went out last night. E worked today, I soaked my hands and feet.. in different containers :lol then slathered cream on them.. especially the very sore hands.... I read the newspaper, drank a cup of tea.. multiples.. I then played with makeup.

A friend sell Mary Kaye. So I bought that large compact and started filling it with stuff. it is my plan to have everything I need in it, instead of the loose stuff :lol
never used that before, but that compact designed to hold everything for a cruise was just so inspirational.... :grin

Then I started rounding up the small stuff that we carry.. the toothbrush stuff... hair brush.. my tea making supplies.. Can not find my sunblock =huh

no idea where it is.

Then I started cutting out the stuff to make shipping containers for the stained glass...... Went for my 2 mile walk.... talked to a neighbour for a while......

Everything that belongs on hangers is hanging in the garments bags, which are hanging over two doors. All of the fold up clothes are folded and sitting on the spare bed. I will pack on Wed night and get everything closed up.

I did start gathering up our travel toothbrushes, hairbrush, lotions, and stuff like that. And started going through my jewelry cases to see what I am bring and wearing with what.

It is almost our turn!! :dance :dance

I have everything hanging out side the closet. tuesday morning I will fill
up the suitcase and my carry on. Monday I will get the last minute things.
God I love cruising!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started packing today, everytime I think i am finish, I have to go to the store to buy something.

:lol That's the story of my packing adventures every cruise Earl. And then when I get to the port of embarkation I'll think of something else I need.

The two 26" cases as well as the garment bag are zipped, weighed (43, 42 and 36 pound) and sitting in the hallway near the laundry room door ready to head to the garage. Georgie is having a fit running around in circles and crying wanting to GO. Little does he know that he will leave for vacation at DD's before we leave home :lol Buck doesn't seem to care.

All we have to pack now is our carry-ons with our pre-cruise clothes and stuff.

well... it was not a pretty sight...
I cranked the heater up and exposed my goosebumps.. First on my list is the formal nights. So I go through the closet that holds all the dress-up stuff.

Amazing! I found two outfits that I had not worn before :lol
One will get a test run on this cruise, the other is perfect for the next cruise.. And I can not recall when I bought it, but it had to have been years ago.

I think .. no.. I KNOW I tried on everything in that closet.
I was torn.. but finally made my choices.
Two formals picked out.. shoes to match..... Great.. I get to wear my red and fuchsia shoes that I love..

The good thing is that I have a group of 5 outfits ready to chose from for the next cruise :lol

Then I went into my other closet and started to pick out clothes for all the other dinners.... That took time, almost everything I owned was out on the bed.
I kept finding things that would go with something else.. that would put a whole new slant on things..
But finally that was sorted out. Shoes worked out well, two pair will go with everything.
Then it is swimsuit time. Now as I live in swimsuits all summer long, I do have a few :grin But it really was an easy choice, I picked two, a few cover ups.. reminds me.. flat shoes would be good :lol I must remember to pack some tomorrow.

Then the shorts...... yes.. no.. yes.. no.. Now tops to go with them..

I am frazzled, the two bedrooms and a bathroom are trashed. I start the grand cleanup, and start actually packing the suitcase.
I have a couple of dresses to iron and add to it tomorrow, and those flat shoes to add.. and a long slip.

and I think I am done. I even packed my carry on for the train ride down...

Now Einstein is down there doing his thing. So I stayed out of his hair, and I finished cutting and gluing the foam board together to make safe boxes for the people who get the stained glass to carry it home.

I can smell dinner simmering.. I am through for the night.
tomorrow I will add those missing things, iron the dresses and then zip up the case.

Wednesday I want to bake the sausage rolls for the train ride on Wed night.. they will go well with a glass of something :grin
Time is really flying..

Things are progressing, my suitcase is about ready to zip up and Jim's is getting close. Then all I have to do is add hang ups to garment bag and go!! I can't wait much longer!!

I am DONE!!!! =COOL I can't believe it, two 26" bags and two carry-ons all done,,, done,,, done. My room looked just like yours Red, and the scenario sounded like what I have gone through for three days! D I Have many errands to run tomorrow, I will NOT GO EVEN CLOSE TO ANY CLOTHES!!,,, NO WAY....:

I know I have way too many clothes packed. I need to follow the rule of going back thru them and taking half out. :

Other than that, today will be spent packing the odds and ends, toiletries, speakers for my Ipod, books, magazines, cribbage, cards, etc.

Can't wait!!

Mine is done too.. and E's.. well, I still need to iron those two outfits :lol

As usual we end up with two normal suitcases.. 22 or 24 inch.. and one more for the "stuff" that we carry along :lol

So E and I have one each, and one group cruise one.. and two small carry ons.

Einstein downloaded a few movies onto his laptop last night.
I need to clean off memory cards, and pack up my camera.... I can not find my sunblock anywhere.. so much have left it behind on the last cruise.....
I did put out a couple of flat shoes last night, so they can get tossed in. I will "putter" all day today.
Tomorrow I will strip the bed and remake it. wash all the bedding and towels etc. and bake.

Einstein put a hold on the paper and the mail last night... and I have one bill to pay early, as it will come due the day we get off the cruise.

Anyone else need to do these things?

I pre paid the bill that comes due while I'am gone yesterday. I didn't need to stop the paper because I cancelled it a few weeks ago because they price had become so high I didn't think it was worth it anymore.
I don't stop the mail because there will be people here who want to get theirs.
I hope that's it, if not oh well.

Well, SunFlower FINALLY got around to packing her suitcase. Whew! OK, we're at two 26"ers, one garment bag, two carry-ons and my fanny pack. We're done. We're ready .....
