Don't go on the city bus. They will not allow you to being your suitcase on the bus unless it can sit on your lap. That's the rule. When you get to the airport, check out the "push button to call hotel / taxis / car service" panel. We used one of the car service. I can't remember exactly, but it is cheaper than a taxi. I can't remember how much now, but I think it's about $7 per person (I THINK). It took us from the hotel to the pier and then pier to the airport on the return. Very efficient way of travel. I think LadyJag made some valid points. I too would be surprised at hotels offering complimentary cruise-drop off from Waikiki. Traveling in Honolulu/Waikiki is real easy. Lots of taxis, city buses (can be a long wait depending on destination), car service. And don't forget to "hang loose"
