Hi everyone - Sorry I haven't been posting lately. I just got home from the hospital. I was admitted on Tuesday afternoon and my dh and dd have been with me so they didn't post on the boards.

I am sending =hugs and :wave to all my @ddict friends.

I will be on over the next couple of days and will try to catch up.

Meg

Hi Meg! I'm so sorry to hear that you had another stay in hospital but I'm glad you're home again. Rest and take care and pop in to say "HI" when you feel well enough to be here. Keeping you in my prayers!

Welcome home Meg!!!
So sorry you ended up back in the hospital, but maybe now you will be on the road to recovery.

Glad to see you home, it's always good to get out of the hospital and you can be home in your own bed. God bless!

Glad to hear you are home but sorry to hear about your stay in the hospital. Feel better soon.

Thanks everyone! It's good to be home after 4 days in the hospital where I got much needed IV fluids and lots of potassium. I am scheduled to undergo exploratory surgery in the next few weeks to look at what has changed in my condition after having a period of hemorraghing (sp?) while inpatient. I hope that it gives them a clearer picture as to how to better manage my condition as there is no cure.

One good thing to come out of this hospitalization was being able to get my docs to agree to a proactive action plan for rehydration when I am decompensating rather than waiting until I am so sick that I am admitted. We have discussed setting me up with putting a permanent port in place and having me come in as soon as I start to get fluids. I think that will normalize this more and keep me home. I am now on potassium pills for the long term since they have determined that I cannot keep it no matter how much I eat.

thanks for all the well wishes!

Meg
