No way would I want to work on a ship -- all those long hours -- teeny, weeny cabin -- and no one thanks you for a job well done.

We have been fortunate to have seen so many wonderful places via land and cruises. Don't mind being away from home for a month or a little more.

I have even gotten to the point that I prefer to be home for the holidays, especially Christmas, even though we don't have any family.
