Woo Hoo we finally made it! This is the first day of Spring X( :jump :bounce :daisy:daisy It won't be long now and Jill B will be getting some cool weather down under and we will be moving into warmer temperatures and then whining about how hot it is. :grin Sunday is Easter can you imagine that? We are getting there Afters...... No more snow this year please!!!!

It was a good day at work yesterday. I mastered my desktop publishing and my first family memorial folders are finished for their service today! I will assist in standing a service today and a small visitation after that. It's all good but I will be busy today.

My friend is interviewing for the manager/director job this morning. I'm saying my prayers she gets it. And another friend who is the current manager/director is back from vacation. She came back to work yesterday a day earlier than I had expected so it was good to be able to have her to give me some help with things in that mortuary before she moves back to the one I ususally work at. I like the job and I'm pretty much on my own to get it done and work alone most of the time so I'm really thinking strongly about moving over to this mortuary. The director yesterday said Judy this is great I love working with you the confidence level you have is so strong especially in speaking with people on the phones and when they come in. That was nice to hear. I will be making a decision in the coming days about whether I go back to the other mortuary or stay where I am.

Mike's buddy spent the night here and he is down to earth and we had some nice talks. He will see the sights around Town today with Mike and then get on the road later this afternoon. We had Mexican for dinner last night and then came back here. I asked him what his girl did for work and was surprised to learn his girl is a therapist working with Autistic children. We talked alot about that but all in all I found him to be very engaging. He is a really good photographer too. If we have a pretty sunrise this am I will get him out of bed to see it.

Well that is about it on this end. I hope you all have a great first day of spring! As I posted this what do I hear but birds outside my window chirping welcoming the sunrise. Yup spring has arrived.

Good Morning Judy and afters to follow!

Frist day of Spring and we have SNOW! lol Sent a photo to the grand kids last night and they thought it was funny. They are going to the beach this weekend. I hope they get their Easter box before they go. In St. Marten I got them all beach towels that are backpacks. They were so cute. Also got them all a flag to fly at the beach! Hope they take some photos! lol

Cool and snow off and on here. They say we could get up to 4 inches in some areas - - that is Ohio for ya! lol

Nothing else new here - - same ole same ole.

Hope you all have a great day - - Be careful and enjoy!

Happy Spring!

Well, post cruise depression has set in, in full force. The only thing that's making it bearable is the knowledge that we're bookes for the Jewel OTS 2009 group cruise! Wurkin' on my review. Hope to have it posted by this weekend. Generally, it will be favorable. The only real negative ws the kidlets on board (more specifically, the parents who didn't parent them). Costa again? Yes. Cruise during Spring Break? Never again!

Morning afters,Judy glad you are liking the new job,and the visit with Mikes friend went so well, sounds like a fun evening.

Nothing planned for Easter, daughter will be with boyfriends family, sons said dont bother with anything, maybe they would run over for a movie,so alls good, glad for once I dont have to cook a big meal.

Booked my last night in Chicago last night at a HOJOs,cheap near the airport, but brand new, splurged on a beautiful hotel for the 1st 3 nights at the Beldon-Stratford across from Lincoln Park and right near Lake Michigan and everything we want to do,just need to book a cheap hotel in Janesville,WI for the 1 night to surprise my mom for her b-day!

Time for my garden to bloom.

Happy 1st Day of Spring everyone! I am home from the hospital and am taking it easy. I am waiting for my check-in with my doctor to make sure it's okay to go down to our timeshare this weekend. It's grey, rainy and cool here today - great sleeping weather.

No Easter dinner here either as my people are working. I am hoping to be down on the Cape by Sunday and I have a stack of books and some new crosswords to do.

I am off to tidy up abit and maybe read alittle.

:wave

Well, I was cooking for hubby, mil and myself - now mil says she isn't getting out in the snow - - so we will see! lol

Yipppeeeeeeeee SPRING!! Now it should only be another 30-50 days before the temps actually go above 60 deg. Then we have July & August to enjoy, then back to the 60's and Fall. :o Can you tell how much I love New England? Oh well, we have to stay for the school system & great colleges in the Boston area. Then I can flee to a warmer climate. :D

Happy spring, yes we made it! Altho, as I am reading the board I am watching the river stages on the news. Most anyhwere I go I have to cross the Meremac river and it is record-flooding. They expect the highway I travel most to be under water this afternoon. The level is about 25 feet and they expect it to go to 40. I am up high, all of St Louis would have to be under for it to directly affect my home, but lots of people are going to lose theirs. And there have been 7 deaths, too. I watched a story about a woman and here elderly mother waiting until the last minute to evacuate, and then getting their truckk with a horse trailer full of belongings stuck and having to be towed out of the water. When they checked the trailer, 3 dogs, 3 cats and some chickens and a quail had died. The newsperson said the elderly woman was on the side of the road trying to give CPR and crying for help. They had to tell her it was too late.

I had a meeting yesterday with some friends. I used the new medicine the Dr gave me, Symbicort, before I went. I was supposed to use 2 puffs, but I hadn't been doing 2 until I saw how it worked. I did try it, and man, I couldn't function. I actually had to ask a friend to go get the van for me because I couldn't walk. It made me shake that badly. And the antibiotics are not working, so I need more of those. So I have a call linto my GP for anything else he can do to make me breathe. It is getting scary. With all of the other problems I have, I never thought it would be my lungs that would finally kill me, but they might.

Have a good day everyone. It is beautiful here, finally!

Connie - I hope your GP is able to give you some medications that will help. I have asthma and know how scary that is when you can breathe. I shake like that on the albuterol inhaler - the respiratory therapist at the Mayo in AZ said that was how you knew that you had gotten it into your lungs.

=hugs
