Has anyone made a purchase with Goodmark Jewelers in Cozumel or Grand Switzerland Jewelers in Grand Cayman? If so how is the pricing compared to the U.S? I am wanting to purchase an Alexandrite Ring while crusing.
just came back from cozumel...i shopped there and got a tanzanite ring...so did my mom...a lady on our ship bought a ring as well from the same store... we got a much better deal than she did!! bargain down..start as low as you can and work your way up...you can get super good prices (low) if you start super low!!!
If you know what you are looking for and can be certain of what you are buying, you will be better off shopping further away from the water. these shops are smaller and more willing to haggle.
We have found that one can generally fine much better deals in Cozumel than in Grand Cayman. We have bought a necklace in Goodmark's in Cozumel. If you know your prices and what you are looking for you can do much better in the Caribbean that in the US. Also if you are the only ship in port, that helps also. The fewer ships the bigger the bargain you will be able to find.
