Hi everyone one. I have been MiA a few days. I had weekend company. Anneedacruise, my BFF and her husband and puppy. It was a 3 ring circus with Maxie trying to eat the puppy, and Scooter hiding as high as possible on all the furniture.
Anita doesn't have a computer right now, so when she it here she likes to play games on mine, so all I had time for was to check my email and edit some photos we took.
I am back on prednisone again, dealing with the side effects. I am so hungry I am eyeing the cat food! But the meds send my sugar sky high.
Had to fight the doc at my check up on Friday, he wanted me in the hospital or else, but I told I was having company. He said, "As sick as you are you are having company?" I told him they always stay with me when they are in town. Gary calls my home the EConnielodge. What the doc didn't know was they worry about me and wait on me when they are here. {Anita and I have been thru a lot together. She was my original support person when I came down with diabetes. She came and stayed at my house with my son while I was in the hospital for a week}. I have to go back again this Friday. My BP for some unknown reason was 210/80. and my pulse ox was only 93.
Now for the kitten update. I finally got a look at it walking away, and it looks like I will have to call it Mr Princess. OK, OK, I am working on a better name. Wehn I bred Siamese, all of our cat's names started with S, (Sabrina, Suzetta, Samantha and Suda for the girls, and Samson Sunrise (Sonny) and Solomon for the males). We had to give Solomon 1 and 2 away, so I am thinking about recycling that name, Solly for short. Thing is, he kinda of likes Princess, but didn't seem to like Solly.
Tonight I went out and sat On the ground, (bad move, all this asthma is caused by my grass and tree allergies) in front of his hiding place under the shed. I had a package of thin slice chicken. He actually came and ate out of my hand. Claws out and hissing, but at least he did it. I actually got to touch him on the back, which he didn't like. But, when the chicken was gone, he lay down a few feet from me. I called him pretty kitty and he closed his eyes, which is supposed to be a sign of affection. He was shaking, I don't know if it was fear or purring. But a breakthrough, none the less.
I don't know if this is going to work, but I am trying.
I would post my photos of the weekend if I could figure out where, lol.
Now, ramble!!!!! cc
