Good Morning Everyone.

I just listened to the weather. 40 today, 45 tomorrow, 50 on Saturday and 53 on Sunday! Woo Hoo it is finally going to be comfortable. The natives here will be in shorts, sweat shirts and birkenstocks with sock. :lol :lol The mountains will have two rounds of snow today and tomorrow though. The skiers are loving it!

I'm hoping to get some work accomplished today. Yesterday about 1pm the contractors removing old wiring in the basement cut through our internet line connecting us to the hub in Texas. We had to call the phone company to get it repaired. We were never back online again until after 4pm at which time we were scrambling to get our video memorials ready for the visitations. My boss was threatening to quit she was so overwhelmed by it all the big bosses were all over her. She came up from the basement all dusty and white from the demolition. :lol We all had our fingers and toes crossed.......but she didn't resign! Dang! =lolgang She isn't well liked! So today will be a busy day playing catch up!\

Kaya has been playing football with his daddy. He is really liking it so Audra has promised to try to get him into pop warner football next year.
So Kaya says Mommy won't I need a helmet if I play football. She said yes honey Daddy will get you a helmet. He thought for a few minutes and asked? Are you sure that my helmet won't need to come in a box from Colorado? :loveya She replied, Oh my you sure know where your bread is buttered!

So that is about here on this end. We are closer to the weekend, closer to the end of January and a few days closer to spring! Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Judy and gang to follow.

They sure know us "Nana's" don't they. When the kids were younger - - everyne would ask them what they wanted for their birthday's and they would say - - Just ask Nana - - she knows! lol I guess I always got them things they liked. I used to really listen - I kept a box in my closet and when they would say they liked something - I would buy it and put in the box. I always had a gift when needed - - no matter if it was big or small! As they get older - it gets harder and more expensive! lol

Jim and I are off shopping tonight for Trystan (GS) - he turns 9 in a couple of weeks and wants a big Lego set - - will keep you posted. He got a couple for Christmas and loved them. Only trouble is it only took him a couple hours to put the big boats together. I told him to take them apart and build again - but he doesn't like to do that. So, they are sitting on a shelf in his room.

I sure miss them kidlets!

Cold and snow off and on here today. Not supposed to be alot - but not warm either. It is winter in Ohio.

Go to my first Weight Watcher's meeting at work today - - sure plan on giving it my all until cruise time and then I will take a week break and get right back on it afterwards. Told Jim he is going on it too! lol That way it will help me stay on it.

Hope you all have a great day - - be careful and enjoy!

Good morning! A brisk 10 degrees below zero here this AM - AIR TEMP! Good thing I"m getting on the airplane to Miami in a little bit. It will be 85 degrees warmer there this afternoon! :) Olde son got quite upset when I took him to school this AM. He's always been a bit of a "mama's boy," and it really showed. I'll really miss them all, but this is a great opportunity for me, too!

Good luck at Weight Watchers, Donna! It works if you stick to the program! WW has been GREAT to me - I'll be anxious to hear all about your success!

Take care all!

well daughter called and she said last night there was shooting in the apartment above me,they had cops all over and dogs. The girl across from me(little) was screaming her head off,I just locked my doors and prayed,(no one was allowed out of the building)after a hour they and the cops and dogs got the people out, know this can happen anywhere but sheesh, enough already!

Nothing much else to report, envy you guys all your grandbabies, keep spoiling them,at least they still get to be kids!

sorry, missed this post, then added mine in another topic. (I guess I'm getting old....=huh)

Good morning gang...:daisy..took me a bit to surface..but got house stuff to do, and then do a bridge shift.. it's a light dusting of snow from last night.. and only 23F here in VT..my furance is running..Spring is a LONG WAY OFF!!..:(..later kids..:)..Joanne

Ahoy Afters. Judy, don't the kidletts just warm your heart. Nathanael is always asking me now if I have a "Gaggee" surprise for him...he don't car if it is big or little. Really missed not seeing them yesterday :( Jenny use to come buy every Wednesday before Nathanael's pre-school for lunch. Now that she is back in college the schedule has changed and I don't get to see them but rarely.

Found out my tooth ache is actually an infecting in my gum caused from my sinus infection so I am back on antibiotics.

Stopped by Lowe's yesterday and made arrangements for an estimator to come out and measure my master suite. We want to get hardwood like the rest of the house.

Not much else happening. Hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning Afters. I am babysitting right now-a year old Brussells Poufon (Griffon and Poodle x).

My best friends fromm out of came in to stay last night, and brought Sprout with them. They ran out to do some shopping and I elected to stay and referee. There is much hissing spitting and growling going on around here! Actually Maxie keeps him in line. They will at least chase each other, but Maxie lets him know who's boss. Simon and Scoots spent the night in the utility room until I went to bed, then they came with me. Today, since the people are gone, Simon has made an appearance. He is keeping his distance, but hissing and growling just to keep the dog aware he can be beaten up. I have been trying to get pictures, but they are too fast for that! Scooter is sitting on the table looking forlorn.

Aside from that, and trying to stay awake since I had to get up early today, I am just sitting here watching my head turn pretty colors.

It is a very balmy 14 degrees out there, but we had winds last night with gusts up to 25mph, so it seems a lot colder.

I acutally used my new scooter last night. I wanted someone with me the first time in case I had trouble getting it out. We made it ok, until the battery went dead in the store. Don't know why that happened, I had just charged it. Must be the cold, since it has to live in my van and I don't have a garage. It is kind of flimsy, so I may look into a trade in. I want a red one with racing stripes like my ex stepmother had.

Korina there was an armed stand-off today with shots fired a little over a mile away from my work . All of the streets were closed down. The crime scene was still active at 6pm when I left my meeting tonight. I'm glad Rachel is OK and she was finally able to get out of there.

Here is a link to the incident today. We were far enough away we were not affected but I'm often in that area at lunch time. I'm glad I stayed in today. http://www.9news.com/news/article.aspx?storyid=85075
