Good Morning Everyone!

Boy is it cold and windy here. 17 degress and supposed to get colder. The wind was blowing so hard it would knock you over. I hate it when we get the cold Canadian winds! Oh well, it is winter in Ohio and that is one reason why I cruise every winter! lol Need to get away from this cold, wind and snow.

Counting my days and staging my stuff in the spare bedroom. I know all you addicts on the group cruise are on your final week of count down. Hope you all have safe travels and take plenty of photos to share with us when you return.

Nothing big on the agenda here for us. My moms birthday is next week and I am having a hard time thinking of what to get her. I am tired of the usual food girft certificates. Any ideas from you guys would help.

Good morning Donna and friends...

Donna, soon you'll be in the warm temps, enjoying a nice lounge chair and thinking about us (probably not :lol)

I keep telling myself the weather will be better in March, I sure hope so.

As for a gift for your mom...how about a basket, with some DVD's, candy, coconut-scented hand cream, shampoo, etc. I'm sure you'll get some good suggestions from our friends here.

Ahoy afters. It's back to work after a nice long weekend. I only have to get through the next 4 days then 14 days off! WOO HOO. Cruise time is almost here! And it can't come soon enough...I need the sea air to kick the last of this cold out of my system.

Got a good portion of the packing done this weekend. We just need to do the garment bag and the incidentals. Trying to pack light. Weather doesn't look to promising for our fly-away day, next Saturday...sure hope that changes!

Donna, how about sending you Mom a nice arrangement of flowers for her birthday. When all else fails that's what I get mine

crazy weather here in Philadelphia. it was in the 60's yesterday, now it's 34 and windy. i had every window in the house open yesterday. i have been sick for over three weeks now and i was hoping to blow every germ out !!! like Denise, just can't seem to shake this thing. it's the coughing at night that's a real bummer= really poor sleep. oh, well, it will pass eventually.

happy sailing to all who are cruising soon. i shall live vicariously the upcoming cruises! have a great day everyone!:daisy

ps- donna, my mom LOVES target. i always get her a gift card so she can have a shopping spree.

It's cold here today also. Thankfully March is almost here and the weather starts to get better.

Donna, we usually cruise in Jan or Feb to get away from the cold weather. It's a well needed brake.
How about a gift certificate at a restaurant for your Mom.

Denise, glad you're feeling better, just think of the nice caribbean breeze. That's enough to make anyone feel better.

Rooy, I hope that you can shake that cold, virus soon. Sure does sound awful.

Donna...if she lives near you and is able to go, how about a dinner show? If she is too far away or cannot get around much, then buy a couple dvd's within a basket of goodies and packet of popcorn.You could get a couple movies you know she would like. I think anything you give her will be loved and appreciated though.

BTW...and totally off the subject...I finally bought a bathing suit! It is bright blue and black . Black background with bright blue flowers, blouson style ..it's exactly what I have been looking for. Thanks for your help.

Donna do you have a old photograph of you and her,you as a baby? Blow it up,frame it and let the memories begin,I did this for my mom,and she told me some wonderful things about the early 50s,John says we have to tap her for the 20s,30s,and 40s to tell us what she remembers,lest we forget!

Only half dead today,have a terrible headache,and stuffy nose,but the rest of the symtoms have mostly abated,even though I spent most of my 54th b-day in bed,I guess it was one way to forget you turned 54,lol! Thanks again for all the wonderful b-day posts! You guys are great!
