Well it is Monday and I'm calling out. This cold is no better and I need at least another day to try to get some rest and get rid of it. The cough is just awful and Rudolf has nothing on me with this red nose! Plus I had another night with little sleep.

They showed the snow in Boston on the news this morning. Its going to be a rough day there. And they are talking about maybe another storm for Boston Thursday night. My brother had to have surgery to fix the tendon in his arm so no shoveling and no snow blowing for him. Since he lives in an apartment in my grandmother's house he was worried when we spoke to him yesterday, about how he would get it clear in case of emergency. I called my SIL and said you owe Joe big time for his Christmas Eve plumbing job, so please help him out with the snow blowing. He said he would. So I'm hoping that brother doesn't try to do anything stupid until SIL gets there, he is in a cast.

We are expecting a pretty good storm ourselves on Wednesday morning. The temp that day will be a high of 4 degrees so the de-icer won't be working on the roads. I'll be glad when this is all behind us for the year and anxiously await the arrival of spring.

Ahoy Judy and Afters to follow. Judy, I feel your pain.....I've been fighting my cold now two weeks. I am not feeling as bad as I did last week but I am still honking, coughing and blowing....I've made a change in meds so I am hoping that will help. I am pretty sure I don't have a secondary infection though. Just one of those colds that are hard to shake.

I did take it easy this weekend so that was good. I went out saturday morning to have my nails done then came home and that was it all weekend. I putzed around the house, cleaning, laundry and playing with my digital photo album. Scanned and uploaded more pics...I now have over 600 on the frame and still working.

Not much else happening. Hope you all have a good day and get well soon Judy.

You girls have to get better! This has gone on long enough! Seriously, I do hope you both feel better real soon.

I woke up today feeling dizzy. I don't know what that means other than maybe a migraine?? Sure hope not.

We still have no snow on the ground here....YIPPEE!! But they are saying 2 inches tomorrow. Got to get out and vote tomorrow here in Michigan.

DD and I went to Bingo last night. That was fun, haven't done it in a long time...but didn't win anything. Maybe next time...

DD's birthday is this weekend, she's having a big bash with friends at a hotel nearby. The hotel is having an event to go along with the big Detroit Car show, so they decided that would be something different. And they can stay at the hotel so they won't have to worry about driving home after the partying.

Good Morning Everyone!

I finally have a dr.'s appt today for this headache - - we sound like a bunch of old complainers don't we! lol

Snow off and on here - we really haven't had a bad winter. Supposed to be ugly this week though.

Mil is coming to our house today for a couple days. She is getting a new bathroom and they need to shut the water off. I know she isn't going to be happy about getting out in the snow!

Please get better...all you cold/headache sufferers, I truly feel your pain....


..I had my flu shot,AND been just graced with knock on wood not one sinus infection since October...I started taking a 12 hour allergy decongestant each and EVERY day without fail and it's working!!..Yea!!.so I dare not stop till May....never did it before..DUH.. but I figured it stops the drip BEFORE it goes full tilt to my sinuses.. and well worth the PITA factor, and even the cost too..figure I am worth 8 bucks every 20 days!!, never mind being slammed for 3 weeks of sinus, and Lauren Bacall factor, and wiped with work too!!, have no clue why it took me being a nurse almost 30 years and shoving 50 years old to get a 1/2 a brain to try this :dizzy..

....my *easy* week.. and I am so glad.. ever other is a total BEAR.. and so I relax today,.. do my 3-11PM.. and tomorrow with just 5 1/2 hours..

got to get some stuff done, then head in..right now we barely have snow falling, so we *might* get lucky and only get the 5-6 inches versus the 14-16 the others....including my sister amd Momma have been promised....take care all...
