I actually used to own a hotel and we did appreciate people dressing for dinner.There has been a lot of silly comments made."Get over yourself", Get real". "Your cruise fantacy". When you pick up the cruise brochure it states the formal nights and dress code. If you are unwilling to accept this you should not book the cruise. Again it's selfish people saying to hell with the cruise line and other people I will do what I want. The best thing would be for all cruise lines to enforce the policy as some restaurants do. It's not a "cruise fantacy "it's a cruise fact as stated in the brochure. If people don't like it there are plenty of other options for their holidays where there is no dress code needed.Part of being a nice person is thinking of other people not just ones self.
