Ft Lauderdale to Miami

We knew that we would look at ships embarking from FLL or MIA. We booked a flight into FLL because the price difference was significant and we had heard the two cities were fairly close. We are within days of making our final decision about the cruise, but Carnival Spirit is at the top of our list. So, we need to get to Miami from the FLL airport.

Should we try to make arrangements with Carnival? Are there other options?

There are many options to choose from. You can take a cab, shuttle or transfers from the ship. I do not (as do many others ) suggest using transfers from the cruise line. When you get out of the baggage claim area at FLL airport there will be shuttles that can take you to Miami and when you get off the ship there will be shuttles waiting at the pier to take you back. It really is easier and faster than transfers.
