Ft Lauderdal and Port Everglades the Same?

Yes, Port Everglades is located 5 mintues from the Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale airport and it is at the southern end of Ft Lauderdale Beach.
 
I have to smile.....I remember being confused by the same thing when we took our first cruise ( a lot of years ago) from Port Everglades.
