Food comparison

We have sailed on the Celebrity Summit about 5 years in a row. Since our cruise is a music theme cruise our dining time is limited
so as to not miss any concerts. We found that eating in the dining room takes way too long and it seemed the food in the main
dining room was just about the same as the Ocean View Cafe. Next year we sail on the Silhouette. Can anyone that sails Celebrity
compare food quality on the Summit to the Silhouette? There is no time for specialty restaurants unless you want to miss shows
and pay extra. The fares are high enough as it is don't want to add more expense. Suite class have private dining and I am sure the
food is excellent but can't go suite class. Just wondering thanks.

Generally speaking the MDR and buffet dining experience is very close across all the Celebrity ships, or at least that is the goal. you do see some variability from time to time but generally very similar.

The one specialty restaurant on summit that was very quick service was sushi at 5 , since you order a la carte for what you want . I know there are more restaurants on S class and buffet was good , in general food is similar across all ships .

Some dishes surprised me with how tasty they were, especially in the main dining room. I thought the pasta and lamb were way better than I expected based on past cruises.

I usually bring a mixer bottle with some organic barley grass powder and add it to water or juice during the cruise. It's a simple way for me to sneak in some greens without needing to hunt for a salad every day, especially on sea days when options feel heavier. Works well for keeping things moving and feeling a bit more balanced.

Interesting! I wonder if Celebrity will ever add more grab-and-go healthy options like fresh smoothies or salad cups in the buffet—seems like it would really help on tight schedules like music cruises. Anyone seen anything like that on Silhouette?

They do have the aqua spa cafe but smoothies and fresh juices are extra charge unless covered under your drink package I think.

I’ve noticed the food has definitely changed over the years—some hits, some misses. Main dining room can be hit or miss, but the specialty spots usually make up for it.

Thank you feel the same way most cruises we find the food selection remains the same day after day quality not as good first cruise was in 2002 not the same now

On our music themed cruise we don’t have time for main dining if you dine in main dining room you will miss something schedule is jammed packed it can take up to two hours in main dining room so we just grab something at buffet so we don’t miss a show.

Some of the specialty can be quick sushi at 5 is normally very quick and not to expensive. the S class has more specialty restaurants than M class . But buffet on celebrity is normally pretty good. Haven’t done a S class in 15 years. The view from Tuscan grill on S class is fantastic.
