Flight Time in Houston After Galveston Cruise

I am planning to travel on the Splendor Panama cruise departing 12/22/03, returning 1/3/04. What time is safe to book my return flight out of Houston (IAH)? Also, can anyone recommend a transportation service to get us from Houston Airport to Galveston on 12/21, and from the Cruise Terminal in Galveston to Houston Airport on 1/3?

Hi Rabsab,

There are two major airports in Houston, one is George Bush International (IAH) and the other is Houston Hobby (HOU). It is about a 40 minute drive to HOU and a 90 minute drive to IAH depending upon traffic. IAH is a hectic airport, HOU is a quaint, smaller airport. Fly into HOU if you can. You may be off the ship by 9:30 AM or you may be off by 11:00 AM so I'd recommend booking your flight after 1 or 2 PM depending on your departure airport.

As far as transport, I am getting a stretch limo from Lone Star Coach for my Rhapsody trip in September, of course, I am local. http://www.absolutelylimos.com/
