I've loved my Dolphin mini-suite on my last two Grand sailings. Yes, the balconies are totally exposed. If you want a covered mini-suite, go for the ADs on Emerald. They are at the aft of the ship.The cabins are spacious, lots of storage in the room itself rather than the closets. I think the mistake a lot of people make is trying the shove every last thing into the closets. There are sheleves where we usually keep the things we will be using everyday: beachbags, fannybacks, water wallets, snorkeling equipment (if we bring it), etc.
