Do a bit of homework and find a hotel close to the terminal, get the logistics out of the way up front and most all hotels will have a shuttle service to the port where as ones by the airport may not. Should be no problem with a taxi or Super Shuttle getting you to your hotel.2. Doubt you can check luggage a the airport that early before a flight usually about 4 hours.
