Taking Legend of the Seas next year to western carribean and need tips on excursions in Belize, Costa Mesa and Cozumel - what to avoid & what not to miss. My husband thinks the hideway boat excursion would be good ( jet your own little boat to beach ) - has anyone done this? Ant tips will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

For Cozumel visit this website. Lots of good info:

cozumelinsider.com

We booked the longer snorkel trip and had a great time.

Happy cruising,

Michael

In Belize, I'd suggest the Mayan ruins trip...excellent educational experience on the Mayans, as well as information on the country and people of Belize.

Costa Maya also has some fantastic ruins (Chacchoben). Many rave about the cave tubing in Belize or <http://www.coralbreezelimited.com/> offers some great snorkel and day trips to the cayes of Belize. Cozumel is a great little island. Rent a jeep and tour it yourself, maybe spend some time at Chankanaab park just south of the piers. Dont have the website link, should be easy enough to find online. Go to the RCI website and look at what they offer for shore excursions for those ports. That will at least give you and idea of whats available.

cozumelhomes.com offers a dune buggy excursion in Cozumel. check it out, it includes, lunch, beach beer, ruins and snorkeling. just a thought.
