None of the balconies on the aft will allow you to look down and see water.  You can look ahead, to the right and to the left but not down.   You  can only look down and see water on the sides of the ship or if you had cabin 7388 or 7688 as those corner cabins also have a huge circle cutout on the side of the ship so you actually get an aft view and a side view.  My last sailing on the Adventure I had cabin 1688 which is right above the cabin you are booked in and when I looked down, the only thing I could see of your cabin was your balcony railing, that's it.  Same held true for me.  If I was standing at my rail, the people eating in the Windjammer above me could see me at my rail. 


From the looks of the pictures from Mainecruiser, you balcony holds lounge chairs.  I could see them in the one picture where it was taken from the cabin door.  RCL lounge chairs are blue and white. 


I will look through my photos and see if I have any that show me looking down and what the view was like.  If I do have any, I'll email them to you.
