so you're probably not gonna like my response. We were on Enchtmt 6/23-6/28/03. During the sea day, I had a massage in the Spa (aft deck 9). Vibration was constant. Our cabin was on deck 8 (8027) which is classified as midship but I'd say close to fwd; we felt vibration in the evening (after 9pm) - we weren't in the cabin much during the day (b'c the music from the pool deck was too loud for napping). And there was the 5am wake-up calls that came from the crew bowling (or maybe they were just dragging deck chairs back and forth! above our heads).
For better news - re hotels, we stayed at the Renaissance Hotel (a 4* property in FLL). Got it through Priceline for $74/night (inc. taxes). B'c it's a Marriott property & we are Silver Rewards members they gave us free continental bfast. Also comes w/free shuttle svc.. from apt. to hotel. Taxi to port was ~$8 inc. tip. From what I could tell Ren. was closest hotel to ships. We could see the Enchtmt from the 10th floor windows (ship's view from lower floors obscured b'c of tall bldgs). For New Years Cruise, we booked the Embassy Suites which is just down the road (17th st.) from Ren. Got a room thru Hotwire for $70/ni. Includes Happy Hour, full bfast and free shuttle svc. from apt. to hotel and from hotel to ship. For good insight on how to successfully bid on good properties in Ft.
