The Floating Uncontrollably Nowhere is a reference to the FUN ship.  Yes Jason, ships do break.  There are also things known as spare parts and competent Engineers and Technicians to service the engines in a manner they they will not break.  If and when something does break, then someone is able to fix it.

Concerning the Cruise on the Glory that we were actually on (were you?)

Here's what Carnival got away with:

1.) Shortening the distance of the cruise from Nassau, St. Thomas, St Maarten to Nassau, Freeport, Key West.  How much money in fuel do you think they saved?

2.) Stating to the press that "all passengers were offered a refund".   Passengers were not offered a refund, they were not offered transportation back to the original port.  What was said to the passengers was that if you get off the ship, then you are on your own.

3.) A passenger that was passing a petition on board was threatened with arrest

4.) The good ship Glory with all of it's top notch crew, and navagation eqipment beached itself on a sand bar in Key West.

I think that CCL needs to come clean with the passengers of the Glory in the same way they have with the Ecstasy.  To date we were offered a $100 credit on our sign and sail account.

Get away with what? Mechanical problems happen, I highly doubt this was a pre-planned conspiracy by carnival to ruin 3000 passenger's vacation with a malfunctioning engine.
