Gosh Earl do I need to run down to Fayettville and get them-Know a great place to get Fried Chicken down there abt a 2 hours drive. Things are still really bad down that way most of them are still completly without power. The ice not only broke tree limbs on wires but b roke poles off and as they are saying on news they are having to start from the beginni88ng new poles and stringing new lines ground frozen. Hard row to hoe. Pres declar3ed it a disaster area yesterday so will take a while to get the repairs done.

Talk about sending something by slow boat :lol :lol

This happened to use one time...the docs are really no big deal since we now have eDocs and the same for air travel. But when it happened to us it was a Hawaii cruise in '02 where it was cheaper to book the air through the cruise line and we were waiting for paper airline tickets. They arrived the day before we were scheduled to leave. =eek

I have stop worring about it. I have the bills from Lorri and I down loaded my sea pass paper.
that all I need.

I scanned thru our Docs last night and from what I see about the ONLY thing U might truly miss is the luggage tags for the luggage. =huh EVERYTHING else should be able to be accomplished from your Sea Pass online paperwork. I would give Skyscraper Tours a call and verify this info for sure to make sure U cover your own behind. :thumb The DOC's seem to be MORE and MORE of a thing of the past as each year passes by. :)

I was told that I can pick up the tags at the terminal from one of the Porters. I phoned RCCL. and
they told me as long as I have my Passport and Sea Pass There won`t be a problem.,
I have no worries. I called twice and E-mail twice To Skyscrapers tours and got no answer.

Dear Earl,

Sorry for your frustration.............
I checked at 5:02 CST time and we have no messages from you or email.
I have asked staff to call you but there is no reason to worry. You don't need anything from RCCL to get a luggage tag. Ask a porter and they will gladly give it to you. They can check their manifest (more often than not, they won't...if you are in the computer system as Red said-- they know).

As far as e-docs and online registration which is the right way to go, we don't ship docs internationally, and perhaps that wasn't clear. They are fazing out all docs soon ---especially for groups. I do apologize for this misunderstanding and wish you a happy cruise...no need for a collection for Fedex, :) your docs are all e-docs which you have printed.

Perhaps your messages are in spam mail, if so, we have not gotten thru that mass of 4 days without power.

Thanx Bear for the Heads Up on the Info. :thumb I feel for the elderly that have not ventured into the computer age as they REALLY are at a loss since we have simplified things for MANY of US with the computer and internet age. :dance We are running into this first hand with our friends mom & friend who have limited computer connections and therefore we have been trying to help as much as possible. Our friend is actually traveling up there to make sure her mom and friend have everything they need printed out and registered thru the puter before they leave.

Thx E,

as a FYI on the topic-we met with a very very higher up today for three + hours with a--- well, in the know. It is coming faster than we expected, cost cutting is a reality these days and I must say---the amount of waste that lines create in ....junk (not docs) is eatin in the ole budget. Get internet wise or these things will get worse...like the delay in cable digital...it's comin folks. On one hand it's good, on the other...as we always say "email is NOT a reliable form of communication"...call us.But it is what it is.

Yup .. with the Good comes a little bit of Bad. :thumb As for the phone calI TOTALLY agree and besides its nice to hear that sweet cheerful voice or in your case that DEEP cheerful voice. :lol on the other end of the line. :grin Hope the recovery from the ice devastation is continuing for those over your way that have been affected. :thumb
