Flagstaff, Arizona: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Flagstaff
Just off Old Route 66 and an 80-mile drive to the Grand Canyon, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Flagstaff is also near great spots for "hiking, biking, stargazing, skiing, snowboarding and snow play, according to our Flagstaff travel guide. Rooms feature HDTVs, complimentary WiFi and Serta Perfect Sleeper beds. Rates start at around $119.

Opening April 7 in North America's most populated city, the 260-room Hilton Mexico City Santa Fe caters to travelers to the Samara complex and Santa Fe financial district. All rooms come with the Hilton Serenity Collection of amenities including plush bedding, flat-screen HDTVs and WiFi. Madera Restaurant at the hotel offers modern American cuisine focusing on sustainable and local ingredients, while its rooftop bar, Cielo, and lobby lounge offer drinks and small plates. Rates start at $99 a night.

Overlooking Independence Park, the 226-room Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem opened earlier this month. Architecturally, the hotel blends Greco-Roman, Gothic and Ottoman architecture behind an 80-year old façade. Twin superior rooms feature personal tablets, 46-inch TVs, and bathrooms with heated Italian marble floors, mirror embedded TVs and soaking bathtubs. Next year the hotel is expected to add indoor lap pools, gyms and wet and dry saunas, among other recreational facilities. Rates start at around $570 a night.
