Your fondue burner needs to have denatured alcohol as opposed to a sterno can....I think! If you are using meat and will be heating oil just DO NOT HEAT THE OIL WITH THE LID ON THE POT!!! Huge fire hazard! Do not use the pots anywhere near curtains or anything else that might catch fire. Have your fire extinguisher handy. You will not likely need it but better safe than sorry! I know about this because I watched the draped go up in flames at an Officer's Mess one evening when Fondue was the meal of choice!Fondue is special and fun! Give it a try and enjoy. Just be careful!
