NOOOOOOO as many of the other posters will tell you mY luggage stays with me at all times... in the 2 cruises i have been on princess and carnival there was a couple on each ship in which their luggage was lost, i pack everything i need in a 22 inch carryon ( see post "best packer ever" and the picturesposted on this site)You do not have to give your luggage to the porter
