I just got back from Jamaica and LOVED it!!!!! All you do is just say NO if you don't want to buy something. I highly recommend Phil Lafayette, who is a very knowledgeable local, for tours http://www.phil-lafayette-tours.com/ . We had so much fun and it was one of my favorite islands. Yes, there are vendors at Dunns Falls, but just say NO. We did the Falls, river tubing (had a blast), a tour of Ocho Rios and some shopping--it was great and we want to go back and spend more time on the island!
