We've done 3 cruises on Princess, all carry-on luggage only. No problems. We don't bring formal wear, so we have enough space in our roll alongs. You don't need hair dryers, as they are provided in each cabin. Each ship we've been on has self service laundromats, some free, so it's easy to get by with fewer clothes.One advantage of carry-on only is you don't have to wait for your luggage at disembarkation, so going through customs is a breeze.
