I was on the Pride in May 2004. I was in 6260 and my sister and brother-in-law was in 6327. They are both cat 11 cabins. Since you said your cabin is toward the stern (rear) and not on the stern, I assume you are in a balcony cabin.
First of all, this is the best deck on the ship (which is why all the cat 12 and most of the cat 11 cabins are on this deck). It is two floors up or down before you will find something making noise (so the deck you are on is quite).
The aft corner cabins have the biggest balconies (they wrap around, so you get a 270 degree view). They are about 220 sq ft (could hold 8 - 10 people easily).
The rest of the cabins are either normal balcony cabins (40 sq ft balcony) or extended balcony cabins (60 sq ft balcony) or inside (no balcony - or window). So how do you tell? If you have an 8E cabin, you have the extended balcony. If you have an 8D cabin you have a standard balcony. If you have a 4C you have an inside.
Okay, I forgot, there are two cat 9 cabins. Both on the right (starboard) side. The cabins are bigger than the balcony cabins and have a bigger balcony, but are not considered suites.
From what I have read, and my own experience, the extended balcony is worth the extra $10 - $20 per person. Why, because the balconies are basically 10 foot wide and either 4 or 6 foot long. The longer balcony means you can sit facing the balcony (with the shorter one you sit at an angle) and have a little more room.
Hope this helps.
