After a disasterous cruise on one of Carnivals smallest ships we are starting to check out and plan a possible cruise for next winter. We've sailed on the Miracle but it doesn't go where we want to go sailing out of Tampa. The Glory looks good to us with the eastern Carribean ports. With the larger number of passengers on these big ships are they physically able to handle the large numbers. Are the lido decks able to provide reasonable service and food. My biggest beef about the last cruise was the tasteless food and lots of cold food at breakfast on the lido. Lines didn't bother us so much if the reward at the end of it is worth the wait.

Well, one of the major complaints that we had was that the food was rarely hot. I don't think I got anything that was cold but it definatly had the taste of having been hot at one time but that time had passed by the time it got to us. Being that the ship is much larger the crew to passenger ratio is higher so some of the personal attention is lost, but it wasn't that bad. We just noticed that the crew seemed all the more busy than what I had rememberd on the other ships. The Glory is a great ship though and we had a wonderful time. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars.

TRAVELING ON THE VALOR IN 2 WEEKS DO THEY HAVE A CLOTHES IRON IN THE CABIN TO PRESS SHIRTS, SLACKS AND SUCH JUST WONDERING IF WE SHOULD PACK ONE

Jim..just for FYI purposes, you know when QM2 set sail, I think it was the big, big dining room, Britannia maybe. There were soo many people there, the waiters could bring out the food only so quickly and there were lots of complaints in the early reviews of pax getting their food luke warm, or even cold because of the size of that dining room and the great distances the waiters had to walk. Wonder if they were able to find a way to correct that. Maybe Hibatchy stations at each table! :lol

I mean, Carnival glory isn't as big and doesn't have any rooms that big, I got a kick out of reading it anyhow.

Vindel.. first off, welcome to the boards, take your coat off and stay a while! :lol Turn off your caps lock key as this suggests you are yelling at us :grin

Vindel: No irons are in the cabins- irons are located on various deck in the laundry room. Do no twait til formal night to iron as this is when the laundry room is most crowded
