Carnival Conquest out of Galveston August 30, 2009

The cruise on August 30, 2009 will be our seventh cruise; fifth with Carnival. Searched for all new destinations; but alas we will repeat Cozumel. Not a problem. I'm sure we'll find something new there. We are looking forward to celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary. What better place than the Western Caribbean? I know this will be another sensational vacation!

Okay, so I checked the Cruise Tracker and it appears there aren't any cruise addicts sailing that particular week. Is it possible that there really are others, but they just haven't posted yet? Please tell me we will have company on this ship...
 
Just checking to see if anyone else had posted here.

Well, spoke with my sister just outside of the Houston area and she said they are interested in joining us on this cruise. Hope they can work it out. It would be the first time we'd have company on a cruise! I know we'd have a blast!!!

Posting a note to say that my sister phoned today. She and her husband are unable to join us on the cruise out of Galveston afterall. They just returned from their first cruise - Royal Caribbean to Alaska - and he feels it is too soon to take off work again.

However, we are planning our first ever "family" cruise for February or March 2010. I am really looking forward to this one. We will be five siblings with four spouses (one is divorced). My older brother will share a cabin with DH and me. I'm so excited -- I can hardly wait!
 
Just returned from Canada on the Triumph. Almost time to start packing for the Caribbean!
Oh yeah!!!!!!!! This will be a summer to remember........

my husband, 15yr old daughter, and i have been on the conquest 6 times before and will be going on the 7th on the Aug. 30th. hope you and your husband have a great anniversary.
 
That is very encouraging to hear, carcandy479. She must be a great ship! I know we will have a very nice cruise. Hope yours is all you want it to be and more!!!!!!!
 
Thanks, Moiraine. I know we will all enjoy this cruise. My brother and his family just took this very cruise and they said it was one of their favorites. Can hardly wait!
 
Just booked a couple of excursions for this cruise.
Montego Bay, Jamaica: Negril Beach Experience at Magaritaville with lunch -- 9 am to 3 pm.
Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands: Cayman Shore Snorkel -- 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.
Nothing for Cozumel, Mexico yet. Still looking.

We have finally made the decision to drive to Galveston early on Sunday. Not so far that we need to book a hotel. So, we've also pre-paid our parking for the Port of Galveston, as well.

Anyone else out there making plans like ours?
