Can anyone with Conquest experience tell me what the children's activities are like?
We have an eleven year old girl and want to know if she can be entertained on this ship.

Also any other comments about the Conquest would be helpful!

Re: Carnival Conquest

I've been on the Conquest twice. Although we don't have small children, we noticed how happy the children were when going about their supervised activities on board ship. We saw nothing but smiling faces and remarked what a good job Carnival does to keep the younguns' entertained.

I've heard that the older bunch, 13, 14, and 15ish, may sometimes think that they are too "old" to be supervised and might consider the accomodation of "Kids Quest" rather mundane. Considering your child is 11, you all should have a great time.

Conquest had a fantastic kid program! By far the best of all the cruises. They have very large Camp Carnival areas. 2-5 year olds have their own room and 6 and up have their own room with many, many activites. My 12 year old son is not much of a joiner and spent alot of time in the arcade, but my 7 year old daughter could not stay away! My daughter got to attend a dance class held by one of the show girls and Fun Ship Freddie who is all over the boat (this was new from our Carnival trip 2001). Your daughter will have a great time!

The ship is beautiful and the food was fanstastic! They have an excellent deli too!

Just happens that I was on the Conquest last week with an eleven year old girl. Since we were there during the school year - there were not many kids on the ship. A Camp Carnival Counselor told me there were only 99 kids (out of the 3000 people on the ship.) They had a kids talent show, cookie decorating, painting a t-shirt, swimming under the stars, organized volleyball and basketball games, family karaoke and quite a few other things that we did not do. We also really enjoyed playing on the slide, and of course the pool. We had a 10 YO friend with us, so the girls were never bored. They had a really great time. The girls really enjoyed getting dressed up for formal night and they went to the dining room every night. (Now my 13 YO son - that's another story. He dressed up for formal night, but only as a mother's day gift to me!) I took lots of pictures of them though!
