Caribbean Style Party Games

I am having a surprise party for DH next Sunday. He will be 60. Instead of a black party theme I am doing a "Sailing into his 60's" theme. I made up the invitation with some cruise photos of DH, asked everyone to come help us send him off into his 60's, dress in tropical atire, I'm having frozen drinks, Jimmy Buffet and Bob Marley music, etc. I'm stumped on a few games or something for some laughs for adults. Anyone have any ideas? For the life of me I can't remember any of the games we played on board the CB when we went to the Island party on deck.

Please help, I'm running out of time!

Maw, I thought of that but so many of them attending have had back surgeries I don't think they would like that too much. I don't think they could go too low! lol Keep thinking though, I appreciate the suggestion.

Limbo is a great idea, Maw. Do U have a $ store near you? You could get hoola hoops and have a hoola hoop contest. Or jump ropes...see who can go the longest! Trivia contest? "Name that tune" contest? Buy a couple of bottles of bubbles, pick a few people to blow them, set up teams and see who can blow 60 bubbles first! Play "pin the stern on the ship." =funsign and congrats and :birthday to your DH.

Sorry, didn't see your post after Maw's about the back surgeries, so nix the hoola hoops and jump ropes! =eek How about the clothespin in the bottle. I always LOVED that game at birthday parties when I was growing up! You can spray paint the clothes pins in bright Caribbean colors.

Check the web site for "Jimmy Buffett" there are some good Trivia Questions - I have them on my computer at work - will send to you tomorrow. For my Jimmy Buffett next week at the club we are playing, Limbo, Beach Ball toss, Hoola Hoop, Pin the tail on the pink flamingo.

I have a trvia called "Name that Jimmy" with 22 different questions for naming Jimmy's. Like Jimmy Carter, Jimmy Swaggert, etc. Will email you tomorrow as my list is at work.

My back is rotten so I can understand.
Get enough drinks in them and you can begin a conga line.
Have a teen come in and braid everyones hair.
Pin the eyepatch on the pirate.

Donna, that's a great idea! Lots of fun....to go one step further, Whimsy, you could have Name that DH's name. Or even name that DH's first and middle name. If his name is Edward Robert: Name that Edward, Name that Robert. :)

Great ideas everyone!

Donna, I will look forward to those ideas.

Karry, my husband's name is Jules. How many Jules do you think we can name? That would really stump everyone!

I think the hula hoop might be interesting! lol

Keep them coming. You are really all helping me.

We went to a ball game tonight. They did some interesting contests between innings.

Frozen T-shirt contest-They had 3 guys compete to see who could get the frozen T-shirt unstuck first and on.

Beach ball, hoola hoop and leaf blower-A guy had 30 seconds to try blow the beach ball into the circle on the ground of the hoola hoop using a leaf blower. He didn't make it.

Just wanted to share some interesting games we found tonight.
