We just booked this for next year. Can anyone tell me about it or where to find info?

This message was posted last week. Follow the link, there are deck plans at this site. It is like the Golden & Grand but has an extra deck of cabins. I hear it will alternate eastern & western caribbean routes. I am hoping to sail on it sometime next year too.

You can find deck plans of the Caribbean Princess at www.expertpc.net and then click on cruise stuff. I found this site by accident.
Grand Princess 10/98
Sea Princess 10/99
Grand Princess 9/02"

Hi We are booked next year also, May 15th. when are you booked ? Hope it's as grand as the Grand! It will be nice to sleep in a bed that's only had two or three different bodies in it (ha ha )It sure is hard to get a lot of info on the ship, I think it's odd that Princess doesn't have the plans on their web site yet, but others do!

If it is like the Golden but has an extra passenger deck, doesn,t that mean a lot more passengers, but the same amount of public space? Sounds aweful crowded to me.
When we we on the Grand we haas a harx time finding deck chairs and deck space.

Yep, more passengers! She is rated at 3100 passengers, double occupancy as opposed to 2600 for the Grand and Golden.

Hi sorry I haven't replied sooner( I was away). We booked through Sears Travel. I didn't think of the crowding issue, that's a good point. We really enjoyed the Grand and don't mind lots of people(as long as the lines for food aren't too long!) so may be it won't be too bad, but that is definately something to think about!

The additional passengers will bring the count up to that of Voyager Class RCCL ships, if I am not mistaken. I haven't noticed many or any complaints about crowding on those ships.

We are also booked on the Caribbean Princess on May 15, 2004. We booked with Buycruises.com and they are really GREAT to deal with. I didn't think much of it being there are going to be more passengers as the ship is much larger so I believe it will all work out in the end. This will be my 4th Princess cruise and the very first for my girlfriend. We have a balcony in BB class. We are really excited about this cruise, especially my girlfriend who has never cruised! Is there anyone else going on the May 15th voyage?? Maybe we can all get together and meet somewhere, what do you think fellow cruisers?

I've been considering booking this ship in late May, but she isn't even listed on the Princess website. Princess has made brief mention of her in their "Captains Circle" magazine, but little information seems to be available other than that previously mentioned on this thread. Her maiden voyage is scheduled for April 17, 2004.

There's even LESS info. on Princess' website about the Diamond Princess! You'd think they'd want to promote these new ships!

I have to believe it will impact the 3 dining rooms. I was on the Star in March on PC dining. Several nights there was a half hour wait just to get to the head of the line to get a table. I could ahve made a reservation, but after day two, all normal times were taken. So with an extra deck of cabins, either reserve early in the cruise, or prepare to wait.

You can always go with traditional seating too Frank. That way you wouldn't have to wait at all, right.
