caribbean cruises in October

We are considering a cruise in early October, but several friends have told us the seas are more choppy at that time of year and so more sea sickness. Can anyone tell me their experience with sailing later in the hurricane season and if there is a difference in rougher seas?

I have cruised in September and cruise November every year , in general it isn’t more choppy than any other time , but that’s peek hurricane season .

I agree sea's are normal..Unless a hurricane is around. All cruise lines are well aware of where the Hurricanes are and make every effort to avoid them and usually are able. But "Ship" does happen. Mother nature is the boss.
