Okay, I hesitate to mention it, but here goes....For personal safety reasons, it's a good idea to leave the balcony door closed and locked at night. On some ships, it's quite possible for a motivated individual (and freaks are usually pretty motivated) to climb from one balcony to the next. It's a dangerous--even crazy--thing to attempt, but people who are drunk, high or otherwise "off" seem very willing to take enormous risks in pursuit of a bad idea.Is it likely to happen? Of course not. But crimes are committed on cruise ships every day, and some of them are serious. With your daughter in the cabin, why risk it?Save the ocean sounds for the times when you're awake to hear them.
