I just returned from the Elation this morning (our 19th cruise) and yes you can rent mopeds in Nassau. As reported by others, the cruise lines all strongly discourage them. The cruiselines claim they are concerned for your safety, and that may be true, but the cruiselines don't make a penny off mopeds...Anyway, I also think that you should NOT rent mopeds in Nassau. That port is probably one of the worst ports to rent a moped. Why? Downtown nassau is very congested and very compact. You can walk to nearly every historical site in less than an hour or two at the most.If you really want to rent a mopen, pick a different port to do so.
