Another thought on the subject of mopeds in the islands...You can rent them....we did rent them in Nassau...rode it less then 15 minutes and spent the rest of the morning in the hospital!! I did not realize at the time that the ships daily news bulletin STRONGLY SUGGEST you DO NOT RENT them as they are not regulated in the islands. Thus, there is a high incidence of brakes and throttles malfunctioning. IF only I'd read the ships daily report that first day of our cruise Live and learn.I spent the remainder of our cruise on crutches, and carrying around an ice bag to keep on my ankle. I had 7 stitches from a wound that hit a main artery in my ankle. We did get WONDERFUL care at the PUBLIC hospital in Nassau, and they got me back to the ship before it left port (we were only there half a day). After returning home my injury did get infected (I do NOT in anyway fault the hospital for the infection!!) just something that happens when you put a moped kick stand into your ankle!!!Anyway, this isn't intended to frighten anyone. I just want you to make a more knowledgable decision then I did before you rent a moped in the islands. This occurred on the MOS@IC group cruise, so many of the folks on this board can attest to my experience. Suez
