Calvin Klein and Theodore

Ollie can be such a funny kid at times. Today, since there is no school,and because I'd like a change in scenery we are gonig to Koolaid's ofice. And the office manager has a copy of The Chipmunks movie. and for some reason, Ollie keeps calling them "Calvin" , "Klein" and "Theordore" insted of "Alvin, Simon, and Theodore".

This is probably funnier in person.
I keep picturing the poor little chipmunks in Calvin Klein wear.

one of the joys of being a parent are these words, amusing things, that come out of your child's mouth

one time we were talking about road kill (because we were driving along and saw a dead possum which had been run over). Oliver asked about what happens if someone hits a cat, and I told him that it's sad, but you can pray for the pet's owner and family, but that's about all you can do. He asked, what about if you hit a dog? I told him about the law which says you need to call the police if you hit a dog. He wanted to know why you didn't have to call the police if you hit a cat. I told him I did not know why you have to call for a dog, but not a cat.

But, any way, one day he was retelling the story to his Nanny (his grandmother); and told her that if you hit a cat with your car, it's sad, okay, but if you hit a dog, you must pull over and pray. Couldn't help but laugh at this statement.

Sara's pediatrician was in another city, 20 minutes away. We had to drive on a two lane road through some absolutely beautiful country next to a resevoir, that was heavily forested and full of wildlife.

One time I had to take Sara to the doctors, and we ran over a squirrel. She cried all the way to the doctors, and she was furious with me for days after.

Several days later, her dad took her to the doctors for a follow up visit. When they got home, she told me that had hit a raccoon. It didn't bother her in the least.

I never figured that one out.
