Hi Guvnes, which itinerary are you on?  The Orkney one looks very good indeed.  Just remember that the weather in Scotland can be changeable (I am of Scotish decent) so make sure you have good water proofs and some cream to warn off the midges - think small mosquitos - which can be annoying on the West Coast of Scotland in June.
